Viva Las Vegas!

Long-range planning does not deal with future decisions, but with the future of present decisions. - Peter Drucker

Wanna help? . . .

So, here's the thing. I am seriously thinking about relocating to Vegas. It's not that things are bad here in Florida, but y'know they're not good either. I mean I have a job - that's good. But I don't agree with how the company's focus has shifted - you could say I have an ethical problem with it - and that's bad. I don't really have any strings here. So, I think I'm gonna head out west.

I have actually started scoping things out there: applying for jobs, looking for housing, checking out moving trucks - even set a tentative (if not sooner) date. I talked it over with my son, and he is totally cool with it. (After all, who doesn't like a little adventure?) Of course, it doesn't hurt that we would be closer to Criss (for me) and California (for him)! I've already checked the demographics, and it seems like a good idea. Of course, the first priority is always to line up a job. On the downside, Nevada was on the list of ten worst states for finding a job, but I'm gonna let that go. I have lots of experience and flexibility, so I think I can find something to pay the bills. (Oh, wow, that sounds really bad! LOL) You know what I mean! Anyway, I'm really starting to like the idea. Let me know what you think . . .

It sounds like you might really enjoy moving to Las Vegas. I would personally try to have a definite job offer/position before making the move. It's a beautiful area; and, you would have real seasons. Best wishes!! :) AngelaC
